My first real project surrounding fashion business began in June 2016, after finishing my GCSES. As I had been a keen Depop user for a few years already, I decided that I really wanted to get more involved in the Depop community by setting up my own business, Polychrome, and selling original pieces.
By keeping up with bloggers and the existing trends on Depop, I noticed that the festival fashion scene was a popular market that was selling out quickly. I decided that festival fashion chokers would be a simple yet effective way to make money: I sourced the materials, made the jewellery, and marketed them through the use of styling, photography, editing and social media.
Shown here are the photographs I used to advertise and sell the chokers. Many of the chokers were chosen by Depop to feature on its official ‘explore’ page.
